WPS Compliance Requirements for NYSAES Certified Pesticide Applicators

Central Posting

When you apply pesticides you must post the location, trade name, actual ingredient, EPA number, and Restricted Entry Interval for each application at the appropriate Central Posting location. There are at least five Central Posting sites at NYSAES:

NYSAES uses a standardized Block Id system to specify the location of field pesticide applications.

On-site Posting

When you apply pesticides you must also use the appropriate on-site Posting method. There is a WPS sign in each field plot. If you apply sprays other than FRU or PGRU sprays a second sign must be available at the plot clearly marked "Research". You are responsible for opening and closing the research sign at the label-specified times. If you spray in a greenhouse check with the greenhouse manager for on-site posting information.
